A one-way sailing that covers the length of New Zealand. Two days out of Sydney comes the fiord day, Milford Sound at eight, Doubtful Sound over lunch and Dusky Sound until after five, and then three cities in three days: Dunedin for the Otago Peninsula, Christchurch for the Botanic Gardens and the Avon, and Wellington, where the cable car climbs from Lambton Quay to the Botanic Garden and Te Papa, the national museum, is free to visit. After a day at sea, Tauranga for Rotorua, then the Bay of Islands, before the ship arrives in Auckland at six in the morning on 21 November. Stay on for a few days, or fly straight home.
