Virgin Voyages is Richard Branson’s adults-only cruise line: no one under 18 on board, no buffet, no formal nights and no set dining time. The fare includes every one of its 20-plus restaurants, from a Korean barbecue with a grill built into the table to an Italian trattoria and a steakhouse, plus Wi-Fi, soft drinks, tea, coffee and group fitness classes. Cabins are called Insider, Sea View or Sea Terrace, and the top suites are RockStar Quarters with their own RockStar agent.
Resilient Lady ran a single Australian and New Zealand season from Melbourne and Sydney over the 2023 to 24 summer, but Virgin now tells its own website it is “no longer sailing to Australia”. For 2026 to 27 we book Australians onto fly-cruise voyages instead: Scarlet Lady from Miami year-round through the Caribbean and Mexico, Valiant Lady from Barcelona through the Mediterranean from May to October, and Resilient Lady splitting her year between the Greek isles and a Miami-based winter season.
All four Lady Ships are close to identical: about 2,770 guests, 1,330 cabins and 78 RockStar Quarters suites apiece. Onboard highlights include The Wake steakhouse, Gunbae’s tableside Korean barbecue, Extra Virgin’s handmade pasta and Pink Agave’s Mexican menu, none of them behind an extra charge. At night The Manor nightclub and the transforming Red Room theatre take over, and every Miami sailing calls at Virgin’s own Beach Club at Bimini, an adults-only private beach day included in the fare.

Virgin’s first ship, based year-round in PortMiami for four and five night runs to Mexico and the Caribbean, always with a stop at the Beach Club at Bimini. The Wake, Gunbae and the newer Lucky Lotus sit alongside the Test Kitchen’s tasting menu, and Scarlet Night turns the whole ship into a themed party.
Based in Barcelona from May to October for six to eight night loops through France, Italy, Corsica and Ibiza, several with a late-night or overnight stay in port. Razzle Dazzle by Night, Extra Virgin’s pasta and Sip’s Champagne list make the sea days between the Riviera and the Balearics worthwhile.
Resilient Lady spent the 2023 to 24 summer based in Melbourne and Sydney, the only Virgin ship to sail an Australian season so far, before returning to the Mediterranean. She now splits her year between the Greek isles in the warmer months and a Miami-based Caribbean season from late November 2026 to April 2027.
The newest and last of the four identical Lady Ships, sailing the Caribbean from Miami over winter and Alaska from Seattle in the northern summer. Brilliant Lady has her own Rojo by Razzle Dazzle Spanish restaurant and two exclusive interactive shows, Murder in the Manor and Up With a Twist.
The fleet is complete at four: Brilliant Lady, delivered in 2025, is the last of the identical Lady Ships, and Virgin Voyages has not ordered a fifth.

All four are close to identical on board, so the itinerary and flight time matter more than the ship you pick.
Adults 18 and over, full stop: there are no children anywhere on board. Within that, it suits couples, groups of friends and solo travellers, with dedicated Solo Insider and Solo Sea View cabins, who want a stylish ship, good food included and genuine nightlife, rather than waterslides or a casino-first cruise.

Resilient Lady sailed round trips from Melbourne and from Sydney over the 2023 to 24 Australian summer, the only time a Virgin ship has been based here. The line has not repeated it for 2026 to 27 and now describes itself on its own site as no longer sailing to Australia, so we book Australians onto its Miami and Barcelona seasons instead.
