Celebrity Edge at a glance

Celebrity Edge is an Edge class ship from Celebrity Cruises, launched in 2018, carrying 2,918 guests. It is known for the Magic Carpet, a bar that moves up and down the side of the ship, and Infinite Veranda staterooms. Celebrity Edge is the ship that reinvented Celebrity Cruises. Launched in 2018 as the first of the Edge class, it was designed to face outwards: more glass, more open decks and more of the sea in view from almost everywhere on board.

The signature is the Magic Carpet, a cantilevered platform the size of a tennis court that moves up and down the side of the ship. It is a bar by day, a restaurant in the evening and the tender platform in port. Most staterooms have an Infinite Veranda, where the top half of the window drops at the press of a button and the balcony becomes part of the room.

Celebrity Edge spends the Australian summer based in Sydney, sailing round trip to New Zealand, the South Pacific and the Great Barrier Reef, with longer voyages to Asia and across the Pacific at the start and end of the season.
