Leave the Christmas cooking to someone else. Celebrity Solstice sails from Sydney on 23 December, and Christmas Eve and Christmas Day are both spent at sea, heading north into the tropics. The islands begin on Boxing Day with Nouméa, then Mystery Island for swimming and snorkelling, a day at Royal Beach Club on Lelepa off the coast of Efate, Port Vila, Vanuatu’s capital, and Lifou in the Loyalty Islands. New Year’s Eve and New Year’s Day are at sea on the way south, and you are home in Sydney early on 2 January.
