This is the easy way into Southeast Asia from the west coast. Three days at sea to settle in, then Bali with the ship staying overnight, so there is time for Ubud or the temples and a long dinner ashore before she sails the next afternoon. Three more sea days take you up through the Indonesian archipelago to Penang, where George Town’s hawker stalls and shophouses are a short walk from the pier, then Port Klang for a day in Kuala Lumpur and the Petronas Towers. You arrive in Singapore early on day twelve.
