The holiday sailing of the 2028 season runs the other way round: north first, fiords last. Christmas Eve is spent in the Bay of Islands and Christmas Day at sea, with the celebrations on board, then Auckland on Boxing Day and Tauranga the day after. After a day at sea comes the South Island: Picton for the Marlborough Sounds, Christchurch, and Dunedin on New Year’s Eve, until eight at night. New Year’s Day is spent in Fiordland, Dusky Sound in the morning, Doubtful Sound after lunch and Milford Sound in the evening, before two days at sea home to Sydney on 4 January.
