A short break that still feels like a voyage. Celebrity Solstice sails out through Sydney Heads in the late afternoon, spends a day at sea running south down the coast, and comes alongside in Hobart at eight in the morning for nine hours. Take the ferry up the Derwent to MONA, walk Salamanca Place and the sandstone cottages of Battery Point from the wharf, or drive to the summit of kunanyi / Mount Wellington for the view over the city. Another day at sea, with time for the spa, the real grass of the Lawn Club and a long dinner, and you are back in Sydney at half past six on 2 November.
