Quantum of the Seas · departs Brisbane, 28 December 2026 · back 5 January
Spend New Year’s Eve ashore in Nouméa, sail out at half past four, and see midnight in at sea. Wake up on New Year’s Day anchored off Mystery Island. No flights, no airport on either side: it leaves from and returns to Brisbane.
All 4 cabin types still open · prices below are per person, twin share
The dates are what make this one. Two easy days at sea after Christmas, then New Year’s Eve in Nouméa, where you have the day ashore for Anse Vata and the French cafes before the ship sails at 4:30 pm and takes the party out to sea for midnight. New Year’s Day is Mystery Island, an uninhabited strip of sand and reef off Aneityum with nothing on it but a runway the grass has taken back, which is a better way to start a year than most. Port Vila follows for the markets and the cascades at Mele, then two days at sea to come down gently. Quantum of the Seas does the rest: the North Star glass capsule 90 metres up, RipCord by iFly for indoor skydiving, the FlowRider surf simulator, bumper cars in the SeaPlex, all included in the fare.
